Welcome to the website of B&B Casa le Rondini Toscana
Welcome
Jean and José have an extensive experience in hospitality. After having run their Italian delicatessen shop Culitalia in Valkenburg aan de Geul (Netherlands) for over 10 years, they opened this beautiful B&B in the Valdarno, in the Tuscany region in the summer of 2021. “We’d love to welcome you as our guest with a delicious aperitivo, benvenuti!”
The house is situated on the organic estate Migliarina & Montozzi, near the town of Bucine, in the triangle formed by Florence, Siena and Arezzo. At the foot of the hills surrrounding the house, you’ll find olive trees, vineyards and fields with organically grown cereals and sunflowers. The hill sides are covered with deciduous forests that are teeming with wild animals such as pheasant, hare, deer, red deer and wild boar.
From the front of the house you can see the Pratomagno mountains and from the back, the hills of the Chianti region. From the garden you can see the Castello di Montozzi on one of the hill tops. It is possible to rent the house as a B&B or as a holiday home. For our guests we have 5 large bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 large kitchen-diners and 2 living rooms for up to 12 persons in total. Also suitable for a workation - remote working.
Estate
The estate is absolutely a nice place to stay: you can relax in the garden, on one of the garden sets or the deck chairs, cool down in the swimming pool, have a walk on the 600 ha estate, attend a wine tasting at the Fattoria Migliarina or at the Castello di Montozzi or spot wild animals.
The estate is 3 kms from Bucine and Levane and 6 kms from Montevarchi. In these towns you have a cappuccino on a terrace or at a bar, buy fresh bread or visit the market.
The swallows
The name Casa le Rondini Toscana refers to the swallows (rondini in Italian) which return from Africa every year to nest, to forage and rear their young on the estate, and in autumn they migrate together again 5,000 kms to the south.
Guests are welcome in every season, Casa le Rondini is open all year round. In autumn you can for example enjoy the new wine, have pasta with venison, visit a truffle market or watch the olive harvest. In December, you can visit the attractive Christmas markets in Arezzo, Siena or Florence and during Carnaval you can enjoy the colourful costumes in Castiglion Fibocchi.
